This totally isn't helping me kid...

Lily is on a cooking freenzy..which would totally rock if I weren't trying to lose weight. Last night she insists on doing some baking. No problemo. Of course she wants to make these wicked good eewy, gooyey fudge-y brownies. Damn. I sat back and let her have at it. Here she is doing her thang..working her magic in the kitchen... you go girl! She made me some eggs this morning..next I need to teach her to make my coffee in the morning, show her how to grind the beans and I'm golden!!

Then there is this son of mine. Sigh...where to begin... Anyone who knows me knows I am a perpetual clean freak. When I see a mess, it seriously makes my brain crazy and I feel the need to barf. Crazy I know. I was so hoping some of this would rub off on my children. Unfortunately I think it skipped their generation..which totally blows. I function better when everything is organized and functional..frankly cleaning excites me a little and the thought of spring cleaning and cleaning out linen closets and the like makes me giddy as a kid in a candy store. After I purchased my Swiffer Wet Jet I was so excited and I was a mopping fool. I love that damn thing. I asked Jack if today he could help me out today by putting toys away in there proper place. He said sure mama. Ten minutes later he came to me so happy to show off his organizational skills. This is what I found. Everything under his bed or on top..nice..
And lookie here:
this is suppose to be his pajama drawer. Look closely you'll see some random objects, like a book, some weird twig from who knows where and a couple of toys.
Jack is doing a handstand because he was so thrilled at how clean his room was. Crazy boy...

LOL - my kids get distracted when I tell them to clean so if I walk around pointing and telling them what to take care of until it's ALL taken care of, it seems to go faster. I think they prefer it because they often ask for me to use my pointer stick. Hah!

ahhh...the beautiful life of being "mom".

BTW, thanks for adding me to your blog roll (I already added you...am I supposed to ask first? Totally new to blogging and don't have etiquette yet).
